Dancing Classrooms Philly Competitions

Students learn invaluable lessons from competition – particularly that winning and losing are a part of life and doing either gracefully indicates maturity and good sportsmanship. The Dancing Classrooms Philly program emphasizes respect and support for peers rather than competition. To that end, awards are presented to school teams rather than individual dance partners. There is a semifinal competition each semester with each participating school sending a team of 12 dancers.

The Colors of the Rainbow Team Match Final Competition is held at the end of the academic year. The Gold Team winners from the fall and spring semifinal competitions vie for the traveling trophy. This event is free and open to the public. We encourage families and friends to attend this wonderful event, which showcases the phenomenal talent and accomplishment of these children!  See the Calendar for information about this year’s event.
